Description

The Video Compositor works with IC Motion clients (generally top photographers, directors and agencies) and internal video production team to edit high-end video content from digital video shoots. Projects include web and broadcast spots, short form editorials, music videos and some documentary. The core content is fashion/consumer product brand driven ads. The successful applicant has a wide range of creative styles; excellent technical ability and can translate the director’s vision while adding meaningful creative input.

Our environment is collaborative and fast-paced. Editors often work with clients for pre-production input, on-set oversight and post shoot. A minimum of 5 years of high end online/offline editing required.

Technical Requirements

• Expert compositing, green screen, camera tracking and rotoscoping skills

• Mastery of all major compositing applications including After Effects and Nuke and FX plug-ins.

• Solid general editing skills using Final Cut Studio and its suite of applications, including color grading, compositing, format conversion, encoding, sound and compression.

• General CGI skills in Max/ and/or Maya (advanced CGI abilities is a plus)

• Experience working with HD and RAW digital video files and Video/FX pipelines

• Working knowledge of Flash, including basic coding and preparation of files.

• Practical understanding of color theory and color management

Creative Requirements

•Extensive knowledge and appreciation of important editors, filmmakers, directors and cinematographers work.

• Comprehension and appreciation of artistic direction of high-end fashion, lifestyle and still life photography, film, commercials and music videos, lighting and color styles.

• Solid appreciation of music genres, past and current artists and songs worldwide

Industrial Color seeks an ace CG generalist with advanced Max/Maya skills to join our CG/Video Editing team. CG Artists work closely with internal and external creative teams to conceive and produce visuals for a range of categories. Candidates must have the ability to successfully manage and produce multiple deadline driven projects while maintaining clear communication anddelivering exceptional work. The right candidate is a creative thinker that can offer valuable input and options to the creative team. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Computer graphics, fine art, design or relevant degree/experience
Exceptional organic and hard surface modeling talents
Advanced background in 2D and 3D CG techniques, applications and computer systems including modeling, texturing, lighting, sculpting, rendering, particle flow, compositing and animation
Motion, rotoscoping and camera tracking skills
Mastery of Max, Maya, After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite and core CG programs and plug-ins
Proficiency/experience with the following is important: Nuke, Vray, Brazil, ZBrush, Maxwell, Mental Ray, RealFlow, HDRI and 3D Stereoscopic Rendering
Ability to produce realistic and conceptual work and interpret artistic direction in a range of creative styles and original concepts.
Ability to create complex scenes and lighting setups
Aesthetic sensibility and practical appreciation of art, film, photography and cinematic lighting
Proven creativity, organizational and problem solving skills

Description

The Post Production Supervisor oversees post production projects from start to finish, working with clients, internal editing, CGI and production team to plan, budget, manage and deliver high-end video content from HD digital video shoots. Projects include web and broadcast spots, short form editorials, fashion films and music videos. The core content is fashion/consumer product brand drivenads. The successful applicant has a full range of professional skills including artistic, technical, leadership, editing, budgeting, project management andreporting.

General Requirements

• Expertexperience working with all major video post-production software and hardware including Final Cut Studio, Foundry applications, Autodesk’s CGI and motion applications, Adobe applications, and Pro Tools

• High-level experience in all aspects of post-production including, editing, CGI/VFX, color grading, compositing, green screen, stereoscopic 3D, retouching, format conversion, encoding, sound production, sound recording, sound sweetening, sound design, compression and mastering

• Mastery of HD and RAW digital editing workflows and digital formats including Red One, Panasonic P2, Phantom and Canon DSLR

• Practical experience evaluating and operating post-production hardware including Apple & PC computers, video cards, broadcast monitors, calibration and studio sound gear

• Practical understanding of color management and theory in both print and video

• Highly organized job structuring, including file management, server management, archiving and retrieval

Creative Requirements
